Workout on the Water with Circle Line & Crunch with the New CruiseFit Series
Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises (Pier 83 at West 42nd Street) has teamed up with Crunch Fitness to put together an innovative cruise series to get New Yorkers in shape this summer with CruiseFit. The specialty series offers fitness experiences led by elite Crunch instructors onboard Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises’ new Bronx Class vessels, sailing along the coast of Manhattan.
Participants will elevate their heart rate, tone their muscles, and work up a gratifying sweat as they cruise past panoramic views of midtown and lower Manhattan, as well as within 100 feet of the Statue of Liberty. The groundbreaking series will offer two onboard Crunch Fitness classes of different intensity levels on cruises scheduled by Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises throughout the summer. The classes will include:
· Mash-Up: Zumba® vs. Hard Knocks — Two of Crunch Fitness’s hottest classes will go toe-to-toe in this ultimate cardio workout. Hard Knocks fuses the hard-hitting power of boxing with the booty-dropping swagger of hip-hop for a knockout dance party, while Zumba combines hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves for a high-energy, calorie-blasting, total-body, dance-based workout from head to toe. Crunch Fitness instructors set to lead the Mash-Up include Jamie Drye, Alinne Alves De Mello, Marc Santa Maria, and Brookelyn Suddell.
· Pound® — Channel your inner performer and rock your body with this modern-day fusion of movement and music. Use weighted Ripstix™ drumsticks to transform drumming into a kick-ass, fat-burning, full-body interval workout sure to leave everybody dripping in sweat. Crunch Fitness instructors set to lead Pound include Lori Conte and Joyce Wong.
CruiseFit guests will also be able to enjoy fresh, healthy bites and specialty cocktails before and after each workout, with selections from a menu curated to fit the specialty cruise. After working up an appetite, passengers can enjoy light bites, including Grilled Chicken Pita, Pico de Gallo Avocado Toast, Caesar Salad, and Spring Fruit & Pecan Salad.
Refreshing “CruiseFit Cocktails,” including CruiseFit Green Margarita mixed with tequila and house-made veggie & fruit green juice, and Watermelon Sangria with white wine, vodka, fresh watermelon will also help participants cool down after breaking a sweat.
