Tequila Don Julio Launches Cinco De Mayo Fundraising Program Supporting Restaurant & Bartender Community

With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, we are thrilled to share the news of Tequila Don Julio’s virtual fundraising program that supports and celebrates the bar and restaurant community including once-in-a-lifetime virtual Cinco de Mayo celebrations with top bartenders and celebrities including James Harden, Erin Andrews, Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta and Lil Jon just to name a few to continue the effort for our friends behind the bar.

While Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated differently this year, it’s important to remember that it’s always been the bartenders and restaurant workers who have made the holiday so special.

Tequila Don Julio has committed an initial $200,000 to the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation and will donate an additional $50,000 by Cinco de Mayo. In order to continue the relief efforts and celebrate the holiday Tequila Don Julio is also announcing the following initiatives:

· An inspirational Cinco anthem video that honors a selection of bartenders and restaurant workers singing the iconic Mexican song, “Cielito Lindo” as they prepare for Cinco at home this year. Passed down over generations, “Cielito Lindo” is an optimistic rallying cry that represents happiness and hope, uniting people through its moving melody and lyrics.

· A partnership with Cameo, for IT’S CINCO SOMEWHERE, a first-of-its-kind virtual Cinco de Mayo that helps people celebrate safely at home while giving back. The charity-focused program offers the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime Cinco de Mayo experience with a celebrity and top bartender by simply making a donation to the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation — because it’s not Cinco de Mayo without our friends behind the bar!
