Located in the heart of New York City at the top of Dream Hotel Midtown, PHD Terrace is an indoor/outdoor all-year-round rooftop oasis perfect for after-work drinks, weekly programming and private events, with a retractable roof. With breathtaking panoramic views of Manhattan and Times Square, PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown is the ultimate destination for a temporary escape from the hustle and bustle of Midtown Manhattan.
Infamously known for the annual holiday pop-ups & weekly Aperitivo Tuesday programming, PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown was fully transformed for the winter months into a whimsical European garden, Midwinter Night’s Dream, with décor elements including: over the top floral installations, a floor-to-ceiling swing, and a tunnel of lights that was coined ‘the perfect sport for the holiday Instagram’.

Designed to resemble an illuminating “jewel box” immersed in the skyline, Ophelia features restored elements from its original architecture and thoughtfully layers design elements from the 1920s and 30s.

A.R.T SoHo, NYC
Embrace the warmer weather with signature cocktails and sweeping Hudson River views at A.R.T. SoHo (Arlo Roof Top). Kicking off May 1st, A.R.T. SoHo will unveil a new thoughtful spring/summer menu of creative, art-inspired original cocktails, large format drinks serving 4–8, in addition to frosé and boozy ice-pops to beat the heat. This season, the brand will be debuting A.R.T. SoHo’s sister rooftop bar, A.R.T. NoMad, at 11 E. 31st Street.
Midtown’s upscale Chinese restaurant DaDong has a stunning second-story Garden Terrace perfect for al fresco dining and drinking. The 150-seat picturesque terrace features an outdoor bar, dining and lounge space with awesome views of midtown Manhattan.
Guests can kick back under wooden pergolas while enjoying frosé or oysters from their Raw Bar. A tranquil reflecting pool is at the center of the terrace, surrounded by potted greenery, and water sculptures by Chinese artist Zheng Lu.
Located on the fourth floor of the Yotel Hotel is Social Drink & Food, a gorgeous outdoor rooftop terrace available to hotel guests and locals alike. Offering spectacular views of midtown, the space is decorated with green turf floors, rainbow colored furniture, and beautiful shrubbery. Rooftop bar JIMMY at The James is getting ready to debut its new spring menu, created by Co-Owner and Mixologist Johnny Swet. The atmosphere is intimate and refined, with lingham wood floors, swank modular furniture, dark cinnamon glazed tile walls, and a working fireplace — all surrounded by 14’ windows with panoramic views of Midtown, Wall Street, the Hudson River, and the bridges spanning the East River.
The lush green space reopens with the annual Herb Festival on Saturday, April 20.
The McKittrick’s perennial rooftop bar Gallow Green undergoes a dramatic transformation each year, from a cozy mountainside escape known as The Lodge at Gallow Green in the colder months, to a whimsical secret garden for the spring and summer.
