Spotted: Macklemore, DRAM, Justin Baldoni & more At WeWork Creator Awards Global Finals

This week, WeWork hosted their inaugural Creator Awards Global Finals and the evening was packed with unexpected reveals, including an unprecedented total of $4.22 million in funding awarded between all attending finalists.

The $1 million prizes went to J. Kevin White of Global Vision 20/20, whose non-profit concept provides prescription eyewear to underdeveloped nations, and Samantha Snabes of re:3D who produces accessible 3D printers that use recycled materials.

The night also featured a surprise performance by DRAM, who went on following Soren Bryce and prior to Macklemore’s explosive headlining act.
Macklemore even commented on the extraordinary amount of funding awarded, “Seems like everyone just won a whole lot of money. I was watching it and, man, I immediately thought I should have gone into technology.”

The Awards also featured Co-Hosts Justin Baldoni, star of The CW’s Jane the Virgin and Adi Neumann, former supermodel; judgesAdam Neumann, Co-founder and CEO of WeWork; Tim Ferriss, entrepreneur and author of The 4-Hour Workweek; Joy Mangano, HSN, inventor and entrepreneur, Lisa Price, President and Founder of Carol’s Daughter; Tamara Steffens, GM of Business Development at Microsoft.

NYC hometown favorite Eat Offbeat secured $180,000 plus a pledge from co-founder and CEO Adam Neumann to order 1,000 dishes per week for the rest of 2018, which is a huge growth indicator.
