Last night, American Express partnered with global superstar, Justin Timberlake, to provide attendees with an unprecedented, exclusive listening experience of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Man Of The Woods.” The project, his first in 5-years, is set for release on February 2, ahead of his third Super Bowl performance.
Donning a yet to be released sneaker collaboration with Jordan Brand and Levi’s, Justin treated welcomed guests to preview his latest work. Notable guests on at the each event included Jessica Biel, Dianna Agron (Glee), Charlamagne Da Alexandra & Theodora Richards, Garrett Hedlund (Netflix’s Mudbound), Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things), Bria Vinaite (The Florida Project), Zosia Mamet (HBO’s Girls), and models Delilah Belle and Bonner Bolton.
To bring the album to life, American Express collaborated with Timberlake to provide its Card Members unprecedented access into JT’s creative process and songwriting. The brand designed a rustic experiential environment to complement JT’s organic and unique approach to the LP. Guests were transported into a pop-up forest in the middle of New York’s very own Concrete Jungle.
Attendees were engulfed by the sounds and bucolic scents and bites of nature, in addition to the foliage associated with the great outdoors as they were escorted through each track on the new album. The walkway leading up to the experience provided guests with an Instagrammable moment wherein they could sit atop wood-laden benches and take a pictures representative of the environment.
American Express teamed up with one of the biggest artists of 2018 to continue in its historical vein of devising rare unique experiences and content for its Card Members, while developing true collaborations with its partner artists. Moving beyond just ingress to presale tour tickets, the partnership provides exclusive access and enables fans to hear the inspiration behind the LP directly from their favorite artist’s mouth.
To bring the project full circle, all proceeds from the event will be donated to Parks & Recreation Foundation in support of the very environments that compelled the project. And for those unable to attend, by downloading the Amex Music App, they too can experience Justin’s creative process in the comfort of their own homes.
