Next Tuesday, October 20th, PATRÓN will debut the More Than Tequila Music Series — a virtual benefit concert taking place on Instagram Live to give Black artists an opportunity to share their talents, gain exposure that is critical to career advancement and have a conversation about community what means them in today’s culture.

Marginalized voices now more than ever need the opportunity to be lifted up. It is comforting to see PATRÓN support the communities that have supported them for all of these years, and in this case, that means supporting the Black community by lifting up Black voices, amplifying up-and-coming musical talent and giving back to Black-owend bars and restaurants through the More Than Tequila music series.

Historically, Black-owned businesses have had a harder time accessing loans and capital; and many Black businesses are more vulnerable now, than ever, given the impact of COVID-19. In fact, the number of working African American business owners have fallen more than 40% amid the Coronavirus — a much steeper drop than other racial groups experienced.

In addition to what is raised through the More Than Tequila series, PATRÓN will be making an additional charitable contribution to the NAACP Backing the B.A.R. initiative.

Join Rapsody and a PATRÓN bartender, Solomon Thomas (@solomonkthomas), on the @patron Instagram channel on October 20 at 6:40PM ET for a pre-show cocktail and conversation about what “More Than Tequila” means and then switch over to the @raposidy Instagram channel at 7PM ET for the live concert.

Anyone watching from home can donate directly to the NAACP Backing the B.A.R. fund, through a link pinned in the Instagram Live or donate sticker that will be available during the concert.
