New Restaurant Macchina Offers Refreshing & Creative Cocktails
We are happy to share some refreshing and ingredient-forward cocktails from Macchina, the newly-opened Italian restaurant in North Gramercy Park with Insta-worthy indulgences.
The modern industrial space located at 365 Third Ave at 26th Street, features creations by acclaimed bartender and mixologist, Jason Madera.
House cocktails include Amuro Cappuccino ($13), made with rosemary grappa, strawberries, basil leaves, lemon juice & egg white; Saffron Vesper ($13), made with Plymouth Gin, Lillet, Zubrowka, maletti, and fresh saffron; the Macchina Martini ($13), made with oven-roasted herbs, olive oil and Belvedere vodka; and the perfect summer cocktail — The Strawberry Mule ($13), recipe below. Macchina also offers Italian and domestic craft beer on tap and by the bottle.
Strawberry Mule ($13)
9 slices of strawberries
Small bunch of mint
Lightly express with muddle
2 droppers Angostura bitters
2oz Belvedere Vodka
1/2 oz ginger liqueur
3/4 oz lime juice
Top with ginger beer
Garnish with a strawberry slice and a bouquet of mint
