Maroon 5 and Verizon Partner for Snapchat Lens (AR Experience)

Last week, Verizon Up and Maroon 5 launched a first-of-its-kind immersive augmented reality karaoke experience on Snapchat. The experience was available at Maroon 5 concerts last week (geo-fenced), but nationally one day only on Friday, June 15.

The Maroon 5 lens is the first as part of its music program, and Verizon will roll out additional lenses at future concerts for other Verizon Up artists.

At Maroon 5 shows in San Antonio (6/12), New Orleans, LA (6/14), Tampa, FL (6/16) and Sunrise, FL (6/17), the Verizon Up Snap lens contained lyrics for the first two songs of their set. Fans sang along to the lyrics on their phone screens while recording themselves for a Snap.

On Friday, June 15, Snapchat users were able to access the limited edition lens on their app and sing along to Maroon 5’s hit new single, “Girls Like You.”

The Maroon 5 AR Karaoke Snap lens is one of the many ways Verizon Up is giving Up members unique access to their favorite artists. Verizon Up is all about thanking customers with rewards they really want, including stage-side tickets to concerts, VIP meet-and-greet opportunities with their favorite artists, ticket upgrades on-site, access to the Verizon Up Members Lane that provides early and expedited venue entry, and more.
