Kim Crawford Helps Two Couples Tie-the-Knot with Instant Wedding Pop-Up in NYC
On August 31st, America’s #1 Sauvignon Blanc brand Kim Crawford helped two couples tie the knot with an instant wedding pop-up in New York City as part of their MarryMeKimmyC campaign.
With 47% of couples having to reschedule their weddings originally planned in 2020, Kim Crawford embarked on a mission to help them wed right here, right now. They first launched a contest on @KimCrawfordWine asking followers to tell the brand why they should be chosen for the chance to win the roundtrip experience to NYC inclusive of a wedding officiant, flowers, and of course, Kim Crawford wine.
Two lucky couples won the stress-free experience which took place at Jane’s Carousel in Dumbo, Brooklyn overlooking the NYC skyline. Below we’ve included information on each of the couples, as well as imagery from their nuptials.
Danielle Long & Marc Gordon — Kent, Washington
Danielle and Marc originally met in 2015 while working in Washington. They started out as just friends, but became drawn to each other over the course of countless lunches, work hangouts, Mariners games, and bottles of Kim Crawford’s Sauvi B. Eventually in 2018 they started discussing plans for marriage, but Danielle got an incredible offer to work abroad in Brussels, Belgium which was a lifelong dream of hers. During this time, Marc stayed home watching their home and three rescue dogs. She arrived home in early 2020 with plans for engagement and wedding planning, but then the pandemic hit and they decided it was best to put their plans on hold. They have remained healthy and safe working from home, but were finally ready to tie the knot.
Melissa Cressey & Dwight Weidenhamer — Washington, DC
Melissa and Dwight met in 2019 at an Italian restaurant Dwight was running the wine program for. By 2020, Dwight was ready to propose. When the pandemic hit, they left quarantine in DC for his parent’s house in North Carolina where there was more room for themselves and their Havanese dog Hudson. When the beaches opened back up for Memorial Day in 2020, Dwight packed up bottles of their favorite Kim Crawford Sauvi B and headed to Emerald Isle — however, the ring he planned to bring was delayed due to COVID. When they arrived home after three days, the ring was there waiting for him. They went back weeks later where he finally got down on one knee. While they planned for a wedding on May 14, 2021, the pandemic limitations on travel posed many challenges with Melissa’s family in Sweden.
