Life on the Upper East Side and the Hamptons can be glamorous, exciting and predictable at times, however, there is one socialite who had an eventful year to say the least. We are of course talking about Mrs. Jean Shafiroff, the red-hair beauty celebrated her new Hamptons home and the love from a new rescue dog. Let’s take a look at Jean’s eventful 2018 and let’s hope that our favorite Upper East Side resident has a great 2019.

On January 22nd, 2018 we published an exclusive interview with the philanthropist that covered her passion of giving, her love of animals and her advice to the next generation. The very next day she and her supportive husband, Mr. Martin Shafiroff hosted a “beat the January blues” party at their home.

Jean Shafiroff was spotted in this Oscar de la Renta number toasting Art Photographer and Explorer Ejaz Khan’s opening of his new photo exhibition Passion. The party was in support of the Southampton Animal Shelter.

Jean Shafiroff and Halsey both looked stunning at the 9th Annual Blossom Ball to benefit the Endometriosis Foundation of America held at Cipriani 42nd Street. The best kind of friend is a celebrity friend, right?

Shafiroff walked the red carpet with an adorable pup at the 21st Annual Bergh Ball hosted by the ASPCA at The Plaza Hotel on April 19, 2018 in New York City. She looked stunning in this over the top Oscar de la Renta gown.

Despite being under the weather that didn’t stop Jean from attending the annual Central Park Conservancy luncheon on May 2nd. Shafiroff who is a lover of underrated designers, was spotted wearing Harlem designer, B. Michael.

Jean knows how to make an entrance for any party: small, cocktail or gala one thing for sure is that she will make it known when she arrives. This is exactly what happened when Mrs. Shafiroff arrived to her Resident Magazine cover party downtown. In a Dolce & Gabbana dress and spiked Christian Louboutin heels she made quite an entrance, but despite the small distraction she recovered and greeted guests who admired her shimmering and glossy cover.

The Shafiroff’s hosts first party in new Southampton home with a cocktail reception to kick off Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s 60th Annual Summer Party. Guests were driven up the driveway via a golf cart and escorted pass the indoor pool to the perfectly manicured green lawn to enjoy the festivities.

CNN’s Don Lemon teams up with Jean at the UNCF Hamptons benefit on a very rainy evening in the Hamptons. Shafiroff was instrumental in securing Don Lemon from CNN to perform as Master of ceremonies.

Jean Shafiroff had quite the busy New York Fashion Week schedule, but she was most proud of the Couture Council Luncheon that she hosted. The luncheon honored Narciso Rodriguez with the 2018 Artistry of Fashion Award at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City on September 6th. The award ceremony and luncheon raised in excess of $850,000 to benefit The Museum at FIT.

New York Lifestyles Magazine put Shafiroff on their cover and with a new magazine cover comes a new cover party. Shafiroff was spotted in a 2015 custom Victor de Souza black and white gown paired with white long gloves…she sure does know how to make sure that she is spotted in the crowd.

Jean surrounded herself with a younger crowd for Youth America Grand Prix kick-off celebration held at her home. The hostess greeted her guests in a hot pink Oscar de la Renta dress. The late-night soiree followed a performance of the Balanchine Festival at City Center and went into the wee hours with dancers and ballet patrons sipping champagne around her dining table.

Jean closes out the year as she graces the cover of Resident Magazine (again) where she discusses holiday giving and how difficult this time of year can be. We’re sure there will be a party to celebrate this cover.
