Get Into The Spring Spirit With These NYC Cocktails

Spring has sprung! And we’ll drink to that. There’s so much to toast to! Warmer weather, lighter clothing, days spent in the park, rooftop happy hours…Along with all the seasonal menu changes comes the blossoming and bright specialty cocktails that are sure to put some pep in your spring. And tbh… some of these creations look better than we do.

Here are some places to really taste the start of spring!

From Four Pillars

Bloody Jasmine


.75oz Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin

.75oz Campari

.75oz Dry Curacao

.75oz fresh lemon juice

1 dash of Regan’s Orange Bitters

Lemon twist for garnish


Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled coupette glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

1.5 oz Codigo 1530 Blanco

1 oz Merlet Triple Sec

.5 oz lime juice

2 oz green juice (blend of Cucumber, mint, celery, dill, and honeydew)

Method: dry shake all ingredients together and pour into julep cup with cobble ice. Garnish with Cucumber and mint

Barnaby’s Lil Battler

Available at BarBelly NYC

2 oz Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz

1/2 oz Cherry Heering

3/4 oz Blood Orange Juice

1/2 oz Lemon Juice

3/4 oz honey syrup

Method: Build all together in a small shaker tin, fill with ice and vigorously shake. Strain into highball with fresh ice and top with a lemon wheel with a tarragon sprig.

1.5 oz. Peloton Mezcal

.5 oz. Lemon juice

.5 oz. Dolin de Chambery Dry Vermouth

.5 oz. Watermelon syrup*

Egg white

*Watermelon syrup: Stir equal parts watermelon juice and sugar together without heating.

Method: Shake all ingredients and pour into coupe glass. Serve up with a mint garnish.

.50 oz Pineapple

.50 oz Grapefruit

.50 oz Honey Water

.25 oz Amaro Montenegro

1 Egg White

3 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Method: Dry shake; ice shake; strain; garnish with bitters, swirl with a straw

2 oz The Botanist Gin

0.5 oz Blood Orange Puree

0.5 oz Lemon Juice

0.5 oz Simple Syrup

3 oz Prosecco

Serve in a Champagne Flute

Bunny Hop

The Hudson Hotel’s Hudson Bar will begin serving the Bunny Hop on Thursday (3/29), just before the holiday. The cocktail is a delectable marriage between a Painkiller and a Ramos Gin Fizz, but perfect for a Vodka lover.

Guests of the hotel and visitors at the bar will be able to enjoy the Bunny Hop through the weekend. For those looking to make the cocktail at home, please find a recipe below:

1 1/2oz Absolute Vanilla Vodka

1 oz Godiva White

1 oz of Half & Half

Teaspoon of Coco Lopez

Method: Put ice into a shaker 2. Add all ingredients on top of the ice 3. Shake vigorously 3. Garnish the rim of a coupe with purple sprinkles 5. Pour the chilled liquid into the coupe 4. Garnish with pastel sprinkles

From Purity Vodka

Purity Berry H20


4 parts Purity Vodka

3 parts berry water

1 cup mixed berries

1 long piece of lemon zest

4 parts distilled or bottled high quality water

Combine the ingredients in a glass pitcher and let sit, refrigerated, for at least 4 hours — or preferably overnight, before serving. Serve the vodka mixed with the berry water either shaken and served strained or just combined over ice.

The Cucumber Gimlet


2 parts Purity Vodka

¾ part fresh lime juice

¾ part simple syrup

4 slices cucumber

Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and double strain into large cocktail glass. Garnish with lime wheel.

The Rosemary Hound


2 parts Purity Vodka

1 part simple syrup

4 tablespoons fresh rosemary leaves

½ part ruby red grapefruit

2 slices of grapefruit

Place the grapefruit juice, vodka and 1 ounce rosemary simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well to mix. Serve on the rocks with a grapefruit slice as the garnish.
