Exclusive: Selah Marley, Lauryn Hill, Slick Woods at ‘A Primordial Place’ opening reception
On Thursday, May 2nd Selah Marley, daughter of Lauryn Hill and granddaughter of Bob Marley, celebrated the opening of her first art installation project: A Primordial Place at BKLYN Studios inside City Point in Downtown Brooklyn NY.
Guests included: Lauren Hill, model Slick Woods, Chrissy Rutherford, Tiffany Reid, and more!
A Primordial Place is a sensory art-installation and experience in which guests will be immersed into the collective conscience of 20 year-old artist, Selah Marley. Emphasizing greenery and nature in a space that many consider The Concrete Jungle. The concept will allow guests to escape New York and find their Zen as BKLYN Studios is transformed into an art landscape.
The experience (which is now open to the public until May 4th between 12–8pm) will open the viewers to the delicate, but beautiful nature of wildlife and botany, typically only experienced in a dream or getaway. This installation is meant to bring the vacation to the attendee, letting guests into the mind of the artist and leaving with a piece of her heart.
