Enjoy The First Sip Of Rosé Season With The New 2017 Bonterra Rosé
There is a rosy-hued light at the end of the tunnel of these long winter months. It may have been hard to get your hands on the Bonterra Organic Vineyards Rosé last season (it sold out well before Labor Day), but the 2017 vintage is here, boasting the same delectable characteristics that made last summer’s first vintage a favorite.
Last spring, rosé enthusiasts were delighted by Bonterra Rosé’s pale salmon hue and notes of ripe peach and watermelon, and the 2017 vintage doesn’t disappoint. The Bonterra 2017 Rosé (SRP $16; available nationwide and on bonterra.com) is Grenache-based, with bright fruit flavors, crisp acidity and a fresh, lively spirit that embodies the organic viticulture the grapes are grown in.
The wine exudes aromas of strawberry, key lime, rosewater and hints of pineapple with a palate of ripe peaches, watermelon and pomegranate. As a dry rosé, the 2017 vintage can be sipped on its own or paired with lighter picnic fare fit for warmer months.
