Typically in season from late April to early June, peonies are a wedding season staple. There is, however, a way to get peonies from July to early September … and they are from Alaska! Alaska is the only place in the world that supplies fresh-cut peonies this time of year. And why do they grow so well there? The extended daylight hours in the summer make the blooms larger.

For leading online floral retailer, The Bouqs Company, peonies are consistently their top seller when they are in-season and available. One of their farm partners includes a small 15-acre, family-run farm in Alaska that grows peonies.

The farm uses only organic farming practices and are certified American Grown. The Bouqs Company currently offers 4 different Bouqs with peonies from the Alaskan farm: Leo, Atlas, Orion, and Phoenix.
