Echosmith: Live from the Artists Den officially kicks off
On Wednesday, October 23, Artists Den, the critically acclaimed television music series best known for presenting intimate concerts by extraordinary artists in non-traditional settings, hosted the debut of Season 14 with multi-platinum alt-pop sibling trio Echosmith at Brookfield Place — one of New York City’s most dynamic and celebrated art and cultural destinations.
Echosmith: Live from the Artists Den was taped on Brookfield Place’s waterfront plaza and will air at a later date on American Public Television. The exclusive concert event, presented by Brookfield Properties, featured Echosmith debuting new music off their new studio album Lonely Generation, out January 10th, for the 500+ fans in attendance in addition to a sneak preview of their upcoming tour.
Echosmith captivated the crowd with their alternative pop anthems upheld by lush guitars and analog synths, including a special performance of the group’s 2019 single “Lonely Generation” as well as hits “Cool Kids,” “Bright,” “Over My Head,” and brand new songs including “Diamonds,” “Stuck,” “Love You Better,” “Last Forever,” and more.
Artists Den events are free and invitation-only. General Admission audience members were randomly selected through ticket sweepstakes, available exclusively via the Artists Den mailing list. Unlike other televised music series, Live from the Artists Den breaks away from the confines of a conventional studio set by unveiling new, unexpected venues for each concert, with the venue serving as the co-star alongside each featured artist. Audience members were surprised with the reveal of Brookfield Place as the venue one day prior to the event.
A quintessential destination for New Yorkers and visitors alike, Brookfield Place offers year-round art and cultural events and unparalleled views of the Hudson River in a lively, picturesque setting with signature shops, one-of-a-kind dining experiences, and unique amenities.
Renowned for its placemaking expertise, Brookfield activates Brookfield Place with thoughtful programming and events to offer free, exciting and world-class cultural experiences to thousands of people in the community each year.
Through Arts Brookfield, Brookfield Place presents a series of engaging programming, which include experiential events like New Sounds Live, Silent Films, Days Go By — Monica Bill Barnes, Light Up Luminaries, Manhattan Concours, and more.
