As for what to enjoy during the festivities this month, Bonterra’s 2017 Merlot is a standout this season, both on its own and paired with a holiday roast. The wine has aromas of black currant, black cherries and a touch of wood smoke with flavors of plums, dark berries, toasty oak and vanilla spice. On the palate the wine is elegant with nice structure and balance, soft tannins and a long finish.

Named for one of the rarest elements on Earth, this wine is equally as rare, produced in only 80 barrels per year. While Cabernet Sauvignon is often recognized as the signature varietal of Napa Valley, Iridium holds its own as an exceptional wine made from hand-harvested, hand-sorted fruit fermented to extract deep color and rich flavors.

Pairs well with grilled red meats and strong cheeses.

An intense ruby red in color, Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2015 shows aromas of red fruit well amalgamated with spicy and balsamic notes. The palate is ample and enveloping and features firm and supple tannins. The wine is very persistent, and the aftertaste brings back the notes first felt on the nose.

If you need a gift that will impress, INSTRINSIC has you covered as the ultimate holiday present. This wine is every bit as delicious as the bottle is beautiful. This wine pairs nicely with beef sliders, citrus marinated pork sandwiches, and beef and pork meatballs in a chipotle sauce.

Notes: A blend of 51% Malbec and 49% Cabernet Franc, this wine opens with refined notes of raspberry, white tea leaves, a hint of fresh mint and lavender. The flavors are layered with milk chocolate, fig reduction, dark plum and licorice root, and the texture is angular, yet sophisticated, with chocolate ganache details in the finish.
