Diane Von Furstenberg Unveils Holiday Windows Featuring Veuve Clicquot La Grand Dame Champagne
Just in time for the holiday season, Diane Von Furstenberg unveiled her holiday windows, featuring their Winter 2019 Collection: Rendezvous, as well as a special addition to the display this season — Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame Champagne.
Designed with a woman’s Rendezvous needs in mind — whether she is heading to a gallery opening, the office or cocktail party — the Winter 2019 collection features polished silhouettes and bold prints to instill confidence. As a nod to this confident, bold, and retro woman, the DVF windows highlight sparkling crystal bottles of Veuve Clicquot’s La Grande Dame Champagne.
For background, Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame was created in honor of Madame Clicquot, who took over her late husband’s Champagne business in 1805 after becoming widowed at age 27.
She then became known as “La Grande Dame de la Champagne,” or the Great Lady of Champagne, and transformed Veuve Clicquot into one of the greatest Champagne Houses in the world.
Both DVF and La Grande Dame Champagne were established 1972 and have collaborated to blend their similar past with present. The Rendezvous collection serves to revive the retro 70s essence of the brand, reissuing heritage prints with a modern twist creating a nostalgic but current aesthetic. This year’s holiday window display creates the perfect reminiscence of both brand’s legacies and empowerment of the bold female.
The window displays will be featured in NYC at the DVF Meatpacking and Soho locations, as well as DVF stores in Aventura FL, Boston, MA, Glendale CA, Honolulu HI, and Atlanta GA until January 3, 2020.
