Looking for something romantic on the Upper East Side? Blu on Park is a modern steakhouse located in a renovated 1920s townhouse on the East Side of New York City. Elegantly designed in hushed shades of blue and grey, BLU offers a variety of steakhouse favorites along with an impressive array of seafood and vegetarian dishes.

BLU serves thick, juicy steaks — tomahawk, porterhouse, sirloin, ribeye and filet — all perfectly seasoned and grilled to order. The Wasabi Pea Tuna (wasabi pea crusted yellowfin tuna, glass noodles, baby bok choy, sweet soy glaze), the vegan Kataifi Tofu (tofu wrapped in kataifi, grilled vegetables, red pepper lemon grass broth), the Burger a la Blu (chimichurri, cheddar, hand-cut fries), and the Crab Cake (marinated jicama, apple salad, remoulade) are among the restaurant’s signature dishes.

Tuna Poke (Hawaiian-style tuna tartare, cucumber, baby radishes, mango yuzu vinaigrette), and Grilled Scottish Salmon (baby with turnips, spaghetti squash, saffron clam broth), along with a raw bar and a variety of seasonal salads round out the restaurants dinner and lunch offerings.

The multi-level restaurant is sophisticated and welcoming. The bar area features a blend of high-top and dining tables with blue tufted chairs. The full-service bar itself is long and elegant with quirky, hanging light fixtures made from old wine decanters. Up a few steps is the main dining room, lit with a pair of skylights and blue-lit wine cases that combine with inlaid accents of gold and large mirrors to give the room an open, airy feeling.

Private events are held on the third level in a large room that features white-washed exposed brick walls and a large picture window that looks out over East 60th Street. Meetings are accommodated in the stylish board room also located on the third level.
