Casamigos hosts exclusive mixology event at new Ruth’s Chris in Jersey City

Last weekend, Medium went to Jersey City to see the new Ruth’s Chris steakhouse and a unique cocktail tasting event hosted by Casamigos Tequila. The ultimate way to drink some amazing Tequilas is to learn how to make it yourself! Let’s take a look at the recipes we curated that you can make at home this Fall!

Rosita Margarita (This is the cocktail on the Ruth’s Chris menu which they tray-passed at the event)

Ingredients: Casamigos Reposado Tequila, Fresh Lime Juice, Cointreau, Campari, Simple Syrup

CASA CIDER

2 oz. Casamigos Reposado Tequila

1 ½ oz. Apple Cider

1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

1 oz. Agave Nectar

2 Dashes Angostura

1 Pinch Cinnamon

Method: Combine all ingredients into tin shaker and add ice. Shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds then strain into rocks glass. Add fresh ice and garnish with thin apple slice, thyme sprig, star anise and cinnamon sprinkle. This cocktail can also be served hot.

REPOSADO NEW FASHIONED

2 oz. Casamigos Reposado Tequila

¼ oz. Simple Syrup

2 Dashes Grapefruit Bitters

2 Dashes Peychaud’s Bitters

Method: Combine all ingredients into crystal or glass mixer and add ice. Stir with bar spoon for about 30 seconds, then strain into the glass. Add a large ice block and garnish with 1 rolled grapefruit peel through skewer.

Smoky Casa Margarita

2 oz. Casamigos Mezcal

1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

¾ oz Agave Nectar

2 Dashes Orange Bitters

Flamed Orange Peel

Method: Combine all ingredients into tin shaker and add ice. Shake well and strain into rocks glass. Add fresh ice and garnish with a flamed orange peel.
