BACARDÍ Returns to Atlanta to Kickoff Rum Room Event Series with Swizz Beatz
Ahead of SpelHouse Homecoming weekend, BACARDÍ opened its doors to the Rum Room: Atlanta — the first in a series of five national events curated by the BACARDÍ Rum Society, an exclusive group of distinguished celebrity rum enthusiasts and ambassadors.
With the help of Grammy Award-winning producer and longtime brand collaborator — Swizz Beatz, BACARDÍ brought the premium rum portfolio to life for the second time in the ATL, to further educate consumers on the versatility of rum.
The iconic rum brand took over 200 Peachtree in Downtown Atlanta and transformed it into a premium rum oasis, with dedicated rooms championing each of the aged rum expressions, comprised of BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro, BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho and BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez.
Serving as a living, breathing world of rum, the BACARDÍ Rum Room created an evening of excitement and discovery that showcased the brand’s culture, diverse flavor profile and set the rum standard. As guests entered the space, they were whisked on a journey of rum exploration and guided from the downstairs Ocho room to the balcony Cuatro room and made their way to the Diez speakeasy, all while savoring BACARDÍ rums neat and in elevated cocktails.
Each room featured unique and snap-worthy moments, that brought the versatility and enjoyability of the premium portfolio to life. Guests were invited to indulge in a variety of sensory experiences that included an edible greenery wall in the BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro room allowing guests to customize their drinks with specialty garnishes.
In the BACARDÍ Ocho room, two different BACARDÍ bat wing installations had guests snapping photos all evening, as a rum barrel display educated attendees on the meaning of “the angel’s share.” Finally, in the Diez speakeasy, BACARDÍ Global Rum Master David Cid led intimate tastings and rum immersions alongside a live cigar rolling station.
The Diez speakeasy also featured the artistic evolution of Oriel Ceballos for the Diez Year Challenge. Paying homage to BACARDÍ and Swizz Beatz invested interest in supporting the work of emerging and established multicultural artists — the Diez Year Challenge showcased the evolution of Ceballos’s artistic styles side-by-side over the past decade.
Ceballos, an artist, author, curator and educator recently known for exercising his artistic freedom — mingled with Swizz and guests while sipping on BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez neat from a snifter, as he answered questions about his artistic career and critical pieces on display, available for purchase.
Among the array of bespoke libations served, crowd favorites included the BACARDÍ Ocho Old Fashioned, the Airmail made with BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro, and BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez neat, with cocktails running low well before the evening wrapped around midnight. The creative and mixable Cuatro cocktails were a hit, and inspired by Swizz himself and his top hits, speaking to attendees’ inner “zone” to discern the level of creativity.
With a snifter of BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez and a Cuban cigar in hand, Swizz Beatz closed the night out with a finale toast and an energetic performance on the Ocho room stage. Swizz even thanked his friend and fellow rapper, 21 Savage, for coming — as he took in the curated BACARDÍ Rum Room for himself.
