Name: James Murray

Age: 31 and loving getting older! I made a promise to myself when I turned 30, that I would do everything in my power to look better over the next 20 years than any other period throughout my life!

Home city/ country: born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. USA

Current Occupation: (student, current job, etc.): I am the Founder of Supreme Public Relations

Time I wake up: I’ve never been a morning person. I try, but I just can’t bring myself to be pleasant first thing. I need a little time to get myself together. If that is given to me, then I am off to a great start.

First thing I do in the morning: Remove my nightly elements.

My typical breakfast: Coffee. Yogurt. Cro-nut’s (shh!)

Here’s what my morning commute is like: Very easy and fast. I currently am living in West New York, NJ, which is a really adorable little town right across the river from the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It takes me about 10 minutes maximum to get in and out of midtown. Because I do not arrive to work during the same time as the rush hour crowds, I do pretty well with avoiding those traffic disasters! Thank God.

I spend most of my day doing: Being a publicist! AKA WORKING!…which for us a lot of the time consists of managing some type of drama, crisis, or major event. I feed off of the energy, as I think most of us do, otherwise why would anyone want to do this job? It has to come natural, because the workloads can be really intense sometimes!

After work, I like to: Socialize. It’s important for me to always remain relevant and connected to the scene. This also goes for my family, friends, lovers, etc. I’m not gonna lie…I definitely get down on a little crazy every now and then, but what’s the purpose of life if you’re bored? I honestly can’t remember the last time I told someone that I was bored.

A fun night for me includes: Attending a new event of some-sort that’s being managed by someone else, where I can enjoy the other side of what I do!

Time I go to sleep: HA! NEVER

Last thing I do at night: My rituals. This consists of a bunch of steps relating to my skincare and personal hygiene.

My favorite thing to do for fun: Travel. Especially with good people.

My biggest fear right now: My biggest fear has always been of loosing everything I’ve worked for. I think this is true for many young business owners (at least many that I have come across anyway), which makes me happy to know that I’m not alone. We have to come together and HELP each other. This is what life is truly all about.

My biggest hope right now: To continue growing and reaching higher levels within my career. It’s funny because so many people will say to me “James, you’ve made it! That’s so amazing!”. While I do believe that I have accomplished a lot of the things I’ve wanted throughout my entire life, I still feel like I am JUST starting! I guess the bigger the dreamer…the bigger the dream!

Someday I’d like to: Be honored, not for what I’ve done in my career or even personal/social life, but because I know I have touched the hearts and souls of people and somehow created a movement in their own lives to pursue their own happiness. I’m still working on what this looks like, although I have to say the universe has been helping me with this one so I feel pointed in the right direction.

The biggest challenge I have overcome so far: Wow, there have been many. Without going into detail, I’ll just say this. The challenges, however big or small, I’ve dealt with throughout my journey, were put there for a reason. At the time, it didn’t feel that way…especially when hopelessness and self-destruction come through you. Ultimately, it is these exact circumstances that have shaped the best and strongest parts of who I am today. I am a leader because of it, and will always be a fighter. I am able to sustain rejection and disappointment far better than most, which enables me to just move forward to the next open door. All of this has shaped my life, and has brought me to exactly where I sit today for that very reason. It is truly amazing to meditate on this and embrace that internal awakening.

The biggest challenge I hope to overcome: I honestly can’t say, but I do know that I will take on any challenge…no matter how big or small, if it means winning another round of this obstacle course called “life.”

What’s one thing people don’t understand about your culture that you’d like to clarify to the international community? I am mostly Italian, therefore I think my culture is looked at as very Americanized, especially considering we are pooled together as being “white” overall.

What’s your favorite meal or recipe that is a specialty of your culture? There are seriously way too many to choose here! Sorry!

If you could ask the Mogul community anything, what would it be? I would just like to Thank the team for your support of my career and it’s an honor to do this article with you.

I am a Mogul because: Baby, I was born this way.
